When I started working at BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT, over TWENTY years ago, I never imagined my career would span two decades with one organization. I certainly wouldn’t have guessed that I’d be pitching jingles and musicals for HEARTHSTONE, an IP that wasn’t even a twinkle in anyone’s eye at the time, AND have those ideas embraced. Nope. Surely not in a culture fueled by testosterone filled, “FOR THE HORDE - FOR THE ALLIANCE”, war cries.

Twenty-something-year old me wouldn’t be able to fathom how my career would transition from modeling Space Marines, Orcs, and Elven Forests, to storyboarding anime-inspired action sequences, leading story rooms and directing OVERWATCH animated shorts. But here I am… living out dreams I didn’t think I was allowed to have.

Who would have thought, all the time ten-year old me spent watching The Disney Channel and Black Belt Theatre, playing with G.I. Joes, writing my own stories, drawing my own comics, singing my own songs, and sculpting characters out of bars of soap, would actually be the first ironic steps towards a career where imagination is paramount, and I can’t imagine what might come next.
